- What are your shipping and return policies?
World At Play Games shipping and return policies are available HERE
- What types of payment do you accept?
We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express and PayPal.
- I got a coupon for free shipping, but it says 'See Website for Details.' What's the catch?
The catch is that it's only "free" for those who already qualify for standard $4.95 shipping. Who qualifies? The long answer is on our Shipping Page, but the short answer is that we must be shipping your package to a street address (no PO Boxes!) in the contiguous 48 United States.
But don't worry! If you don't qualify for the standard $4.95 shipping, your shipping will still be discounted by that amount. So in the end, everybody who uses the coupon gets $4.95 taken off of their shipping charge. It's just faster to say "Free Shipping" rather than "$4.95 off the shipping for your order".
- What's that 'Feedback' thing to the right?
The Feedback button hovering to the right of the page is for just that - Feedback! We use a service called Get Satisfaction. In case you've never used it before, all you do is click the 'Feedback' button and fill in the form. You can ask a question, tell us an idea you have, complain about problems or just give praise. Other users can agree with your suggestions, employees can help you with your problems, and over time we can work together to improve the site.
- I'm looking at this item's availability and I'm wondering, what's the difference between 'Available' and 'In-Stock'?
Not every item on our website is sitting in our warehouse at this very moment. If we know we can get an item from one or more suppliers in a reasonable amount of time, it will show up as "Available" with an estimated ship date of 2-3 business days. This is because we'll have to wait for the item to actually arrive to us before we can ship it to you.
Items that say "In Stock" are currently sitting in our warehouse. If you order an "In Stock" item, it should ship on the next business day. Keep in mind, though, that we will wait for your order to be complete before shipping it. Therefore, if you order an "In Stock" item along with an "Available" item, we will wait for the "Available" item to come in before shipping your order.
- Where else can I find you online?
The internet is a big place, so we've tried to spread around more of it. In addition to this website, you can find us in the following places:
- We sell on eBay as World at Play Games
- Follow us on Twitter @WorldPlayGames.
- Be a fan on our page on Facebook.
- What's this Free Stuff all about?
It's simple, really. When we get free demo copies or promo materials, we don't use them. So finally we got the idea to give them away... but only if you want them! Curious how it works? Here's the breakdown:
- Is it really free?
The items themselves are free. However, we won't accept orders that are ONLY free items. If you want free stuff, it has to be added to an order that costs money. When we get an order that has an extra free item, we throw the free stuff in with the package. When we get an order that is ONLY free items, we throw it in the trash.
- So I can get tons of free stuff?
If you're willing to place lots of orders, sure. You're limited to one free item per order. Just because you add more than one to your cart doesn't mean you'll get them. We ignore multiple quantities of the same free item, and if there's more than one free item in an order we will randomly choose one. So if you add 80 free items and get the one you wanted the least, don't be mad at us.
- But I ordered $10,000 worth of games! Can't I get some more for free!?
Okay, so we're not complete jerks. If you order lots of stuff, add several free items, and we like you, we'll include more than one free item. On that note, if you order lots of stuff and DON'T add free items, we may give them to you anyway out of appreciation.
- Where do you guys get all this free stuff?
Sometimes the guys who make the games send us free promotional items. These are generally intended for standard brick-and-mortar stores, as handouts for customers or displays for the store window. Since we are strictly an online business, we have no store windows to decorate and no walk-in customers to hand things out to.
- Your free stuff is pretty boring. Do you ever have REALLY GOOD free stuff?
At this time we're only giving away the 'boring' stuff that we get for free. However, you never know when we might get a wild hair and decide to give away something cooler, like a full game. We'll be sure to announce any crazy giveaways like that via Twitter or our Newsletter, so make sure you're subscribed or following us so that you'll be the first to know.
- What is Hot Friday?
Starting November 6th, World At Play Games will temporarily price one item at a ridiculously low price and feature it at http://hotfridays.worldatplaygames.com. The sale is good for one week, at the end of which, a new item will be featured.
- What if you sell out?
Hot Fridays are first come, first serve. If an item sells out, the sale is over for that week. If you happen to miss out on an awesome deal because someone got there before you, be sure to check back early on the following Friday so you don't miss out on the next awesome deal!
- What is the return policy for Hot Friday items?
All of our policies apply to Hot Friday items as they do for everything else. Rest assured that just because it's on sale, that doesn't mean you are sacrificing any level of customer service or professionalism. Your satisfaction is still our number one priority.
- What kinds of items will you feature?
Our goal is to give you what you want so you will come back for more! We will do our very best to feature items on a rotation so that gamers, collectors, etc., will see items that apply to them on a regular basis. Because our customer base is so widely divided, kids being on the other side of the spectrum, we felt the need to feature a seperate item just for them. So technically we have two items on sale, but who's complaining? Just as long as everyone is happy, right?
